Welcome to My Travel Blog. I love to travel, see new places, hang out and, especially, try new food. I want to see the world. I hope you enjoy sharing the trip through my lens. Come walk with me.

Villa Agung Khalia |
We got the ground floor suite. The upstairs suite's entrance and pool is on the other side |
The room could have easily taken a family of 4. As it was, it was perfectly comfortable for both of us. |
Such a lovely way to welcome a guest. |
The lovely bathroom. Separate shower obviously. |
Also called the Lotus Suite |
Our very own pool, our very own lounge chairs. Perfect for slacking. |
The book that ruined Bali : Eat Pray Love, found on the shelf in the room. |
Rice |
Villa Agung Khalia, surrounded by nothing but rice fields. |
Ibu Oka's Babi Guling, closed for the day |
Ubud Market |
Since the temples in Bali are all still functioning, we saw these signs everywhere. Thankfully, I had warned the BH to bring more conservative clothes, so we had no problems getting into temples. |
Bikeslashtruck |
My dinner, Sate with sauteed vegetables and rice. Delicious |
Sunset over the rice fields |

Goa Gajah |
Atap or not? |
There is a distinct water theme to all the temples we visited |
The view on the way to Gunang Kawi |
Gunang Kawi |
You have to climb down 371 steps to reach the temple. Guess how many steps you have to climb UP to get back to the car. |
The fish pond at Tirta Empul |
According to the Bali Temple Guide, to quote "the formal routine is strictly meant for pilgrims and devotees", I saw plenty of people jumping into the pool. I found it entirely disrespectful. |
The obligatory stop for Kopi Luak |
Kintamani Volcano |
Gunung Kawi Sebatu |
A trip to Bali is not complete without a visit to the rice terraces |
White Herons |
Cocktail @ Nomad's |
Tapas plate |
Gado gado, and the 2 tapas plates. We over-ordered and did not finish. |
The musical troop practicing with the palace as a backdrop, and a lovely lily pond as the audience. |

Ibu Oka. Babi Guling fresh from the spit, being expertly portioned |
The Ibu Oka special. A little bit of everything. |
The Taman Ayun Temple @ Mengwi. Probably my 2nd favourite temple |
Taman Ayun |
I'm sure that's atap |
These were my favourite structures. So beautiful. |
Kitty taking nappy. |
Before |
After. Photoshop fakery |
There were quite a lot of cats on the compound (maybe that's why I liked the place so much). |
Meow.... |
Offerings |
Tanah Lot |
