All photos were taken with my new Canon S95. It's a fantastic little point and shoot. Really nice as a backup to my 5D (I bought it for the occasions that I don't want to carry the dslr around). The only problem I had with it is the low battery life. It lasted exactly the entire trip, about 180shots. The battery died as the ferry was pulling into Harbourfront. Talk about perfect timing. I would heartily recommend this little camera to anyone who needs a Point and Shoot. It has a larger sensor (than normal PnS cameras), a fast lens (f2.0) and 720p video recording. With all the nifty little functions, it's a very handy little piece of equipment. It's going to be permanently stashed in my backpack.

I really like the fisheye mode on the camera
Is that Atap?
Lunch
The back of the restaurant. The place was HUGE....
Look at all those scallops.
Yup, those are sharks. There was a sign saying they weren't for sale.
Balinese lion dance?
Sweep the leg! Sweep the leg!
Jumping through hoops...literally... for tourists.
Streetside foodstall. I have yet to try these masakan places in Indonesia
Ho Cheng... in Batam???
Bak Mie Special. I've developed a love for this noodle soup dish after having a bowl in Yogya.
Our room. It was very nice. Very spacious, clean and new.
I liked the toilet. The shower was huge, and separate from the bath.
Right behind the hotel was the Nagoya Hill mall. Less than a 3 min walk
View from the pool.
I loved this whirlpool. Only problem is, the water is heated. Great for soaking at night, not so good in the day (when the weather is so hot...)
This dish is called
Pempek. I really liked it. The sauce was spicy but delicious.
Fried Banana fritters. Those were really good too.
Back home.
