Day 6 : Last Minute Sightseeing: 16 July 2018

Evening flight out meant a little more time for sightseeing.
I definitely had to go to check-point charlie.
Basically, the west did not win the cold war, MacDonalds did.
After checking out, with a few hours to kill, I planned to try to head up to the Berlin TV tower to get a 360 degree view of the city (also, I have a tradition to go up to every sky/tv tower in the city I visit)
ALWHI, there was still time for a river cruise (yes, a lot of time to kill before

the flight).
Last minute tickets are cheap and an hour cruise on the river showed another aspect of Berlin.
Grabbed Dinner at a biergarden, which was kinda yucky and put me over the top on boiled german food. Boiled blood sausages, boiled cabbage, boiled pork belly.
Back to the airport to return the car and get on the flight home.
