Day 7

Last morning, last meal in Tokyo. From THE BOOK, Nagi (17). It's a 24hr ramen joint in golden gai. It's not ulu, but hard to find as its on the 2nd floor of one of the bars. The place sits about 12 people, is incredibly cramped, not counting the staircase going up to the restaurant.

This was easily my number 2 ramen on my list. It was completely different from standard ramen. The soup is made with dried sardines and there was a big piece of wanton skin, covering the top of the soup, and when you dig into it, and it blends into the soup, it becomes amazing. The pork is not the standard chashu either. Its actually more like smoked ham and incredibly delicious. I'll definitely go back to for this. I discovered that they have other branches, which are a little more accessible, but not 24hours.

2nd best ramen that I've ever tasted in my life.

Can you imagine finding that door in the middle of the night looking for the ramen?

See you again soon, Tokyo
